This includes infections of the respiratory tract, such as pneumonia, acute bronchitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and sinusitis. It is also indicated for the treatment of otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain urinary tract infections. This medication works by stopping the growth of the infecting bacteria.
